Since 1997 the Scuola Normale has set up specialist formation courses in the area of Cultural Heritage. The aim of these initiatives is to link together a strong humanistic formation with the knowledge of the most advanced technologies and the information elaboration systems that can be used for both the management and the research in this area.The courses, with the contributions of personalities and institutions of absolute prominence in the academic and professional Italian sectors, are characterized by their highly innovative contents as well as by the experimental features of the adopted methodologies.
The desired outcome for the Scuola
Normale from these courses is the formation of highly qualified and
specialized persons with multidisciplinary competences that are
useful for obtaining working positions in the areas of museums,
publishing trade and communication as well as in the areas of
territorial planning and restoration.
