Placement
The Placement Service, constituted in 2005 with the contribution of MIUR, at the SNS aims to help Normale students/alumni connect with the professional opportunities available to them, thereby promoting the best possible entry of Normale graduates in the world of work.
Among the institutional objectives of the Scuola Normale there is not only the development of understanding, teaching and research in the sciences and humanities but also the transmission of the competencies learned to the public administration and to the world of work (Art. 1 of the Statute).
For this reason the Placement services offers the following services:
For students and alumni:
Organization of internships Services of advice and professional orientation: assistance in preparing the student’s CV and cover letter, general orientation towards professional choices, appointments with an industrial/organizational psychologist, assessment of personal competencies, information about contracts Information about selected opportunities to enter the academic, institutional, work and professional worlds Organization of recruiting days and company presentations Updated bibliographic references about the world of work, careers, etc.For institutions and companies:
Administrative and organizational assistance for partnerships aimed at the training and professional integration of Scuola Normale alumni (conventions, etc.) Research, analysis and evaluation of the CVs of Scuola Normale students and alumni who correspond to the institution’s needs Publication on the Scuola Normale site of the institutions’ offers of internships and/or work.In order to improve the relation and knowledge transfer to the work environment, the SNS, with Scuola Superiore Sant’Anna and IMT Alti Studi in Lucca created the Consortium UJ-Career and Placement Services, for the coordinated management and planning of high qualified placement services.
