Prerequisiti

The course requires basic knowledge of cellular neurophysiology, molecular and cellular biology and is aimed at PhD students

Programma

The course aims to illustrate some recent advances in neuroscience in the field of functional development and plasticity of the circuits of the nervous system in normal and pathological conditions. The course will adopt a multidisciplinary perspective taking into consideration both molecular and functional aspects. Topics will be selected annually on the basis of the most recent breakthroughs and based on review articles in the literature. The topics covered could be both new knowledge and technological advances. Where possible, we will try to build links between mechanism studies in the animal model and human studies.

Obiettivi formativi

Provide a critical picture of new advances in circuit plasticity neuroscience and cutting-edge technologies.
