Period of duration of course
This course is intended for PhD students and is open and recommended to undergraduate students. Knowledge of Latin and ancient Greek is required.
The course is devoted to the economic and social impact of circus racing (public and private investment, food distribution, factions, etc.) in a broad chronological perspective (from the Republican Age to Late Antiquity)
The course aims to develop the methodological skills necessary for the analysis of the written sources, with particular reference to problems of economic and social history.
