Programma

The digital transition entails several new features also in the field of philology, challenging the tradition of methods and procedures for the study of manuscript traditions and the preparation of critical editions. Through the analysis of some case studies taken from the Italian and Romance Middle Ages, the main points of method will be analysed, in order to verify to what extent the new scenario allows to improve the potentialities of philological research or, vice versa, questions its validity.

Obiettivi formativi

Learning philology, developing interpretation competences, dealing with digital humanities.
