This course is recommended for undergraduate and PhD students who have attended the course "The Venice Biennale: strategies and significance of the major art exhibitions in the 20th century" and "The Venice Biennale: History of the Institution and History of the Exhibitions"

Programma

In the 59 editions of the Venice Biennale's century-long history, some of them were more important than others because they determined decisive turning points in the history of contemporary art. The course will examine these editions in detail in order to provide a research methodology for the history of art exhibitions in XXth century.
