The course focuses on studying the development of the manuscript and epigraphic production in Rome from late Antiquity to the age of the commune.

The course will provide undergraduate and Ph.D. students with knowledge of ancient and medieval palaeography and, at a more advanced level, will also deal with philological and stemmatic problems.
