International Researchers and Professors

Researchers and teaching staff from international universities, wishing to spend some time in the academic community of  the Scuola Normale Superiore, can apply for a Visiting Fellow position at any time of the year, possibly registering with an adequate advance. The procedure requires the support of an SNS faculty member.

International staff' visiting periods at the Scuola last for up to 12 months (90 days if non EU citizens) during which they will have access to the library and other SNS facilities.  

Any travel and stay expenses must be covered directly by guests and cannot in any case be refunded by the Scuola Normale.
Visiting Fellows will have access, for a fee, at the canteen service of the SNS. 
Guests needing a visa for entering Italy must request it autonomously.
