Federico Sessolo obtained his B.A. in Modern Literatures and Languages at Ca’ Foscari University of Venice (2016). He won a fully-funded scholarship at Ca’ Foscari International College, an English-taught honors school promoting interdisciplinarity in Academia. In 2018, he obtained his M.A. in Italian Studies and Modern Philology, along with a Minor (M.A. equivalent) in Global Asian Studes.
In 2019 he won a «borsa di perfezionamento» (Ph.D. scholarship) at Scuola Normale Superiore di Pisa. He was visiting research scholar at Yale University (2022).

His research mainly encompasses 20th-century Italian Literature, analyzing its outward connections with the rest of the world. His doctoral dissertation deals with the American exile of Giuseppe Antonio Borgese (1931-1952). His transnational approach toward Italian literature brought Federico close to Translation Studies and Cultural Studies.
