Syllabus

The aim of the course is to provide an overview of the frontiers in Chemistry. In particular, both experimental and theoretical methodologies employed nowadays in chemical research will be introduced along with various illustrative examples taken from some of the very hot topics in Chemistry today, such as supramolecular chemistry, chemistry at the origin of life, linear and non-linear molecular spectroscopy, new smart materials in nanotechnology, etc… The course will be enriched by invited speaker seminars about modern research in Chemistry.
