Syllabus
The aim of the course is to present and analyze in depth a series of handwritten sources (manuscripts, documents, epigraphs), representative of the most important stages in the history of Latin writing. These sources will also illustrate some relevant issues in codicology, philology and the history of manuscript tradition, which will be the object of thorough discussion in class. Throughout the course, basic notions on these disciplines will be provided and specifically addressed to undergraduate students, while PhD students will face more advanced issues.
