Technology transfer management:
- intellectual property,
- industrial property,
- spin offs and startups.
The Scuola Normale, through its Research and Technology Transfer Service, deals with technology transfer (management of Intellectual Property, licensing activities, the creation of spin-offs) for research activities developed by research groups and laboratories and for its own projects.
The Scuola Normale is a member of the NetVal (Network per la Valorizzazione della Ricerca Universitaria- the network for the valorisation of University Research) and is part of ILO-NOVA (Network per il trasferimento della conoscenza e la valorizzazione industriale della ricerca-the Network for the transfer of knowledge and the industrial exploitation of research).
The Scuola Normale, the IMT Alti Studi di Lucca and the Scuola Superiore Sant’Anna di Pisa have established JoTTO, a joint technology transfer office.
There are three particularly useful sections of JoTTO:
- for access to opportunities, awards and financing: calls and awards
- for access to opportunities, awards and funding made available by Horizon2020: focus on Horizon2020
- for participation in events (conferences, seminars, workshops, etc.): events
To receive updated information on these topics, you can subscribe to the joTTO newsletter by filling in the form on the right.
In order to activate collaborations with local companies, the Tuscany Region has financed some projects for the Scuola. The project called FELIX - Fotonica ed Elettronica Integrate per l’Industria (Integrated Photonics and Electronics for Industry) is currently being implemented.
