Applications for the call must be registered online by 1 August 2022. Studying at the Scuola Normale means living in an environment rich in cultural stimuli, engaging in research activities right from the beginning, growing up together with scholars of different disciplines. At the SNS board and accommodation are free, and university fees are reimbursed.

Applications for PhD courses are open - Autumn Session

20 places for the Faculty of Sciences and 7 places for the Faculty of Political-social sciences. In addition to these there are 19 places (for the three Faculties) activated by the SNS within the PNRR funds, based on specific research topics. Taking a PhD course at the Scuola Normale enables you to develop solid scientific skills, in a stimulating environment with a strong international character.

Help desk to combat gender-based violence

The Sportello interuniversitario contro la violenza di genere (the inter-university help desk to combat gender-based violence) arose from the coordination of the so-called “CUGs” of the Scuola Normale, the Scuola Sant'Anna and the University of Pisa, to intensify the commitment of the three universities to the protection of victims of acts of physical, psychological, sexual, moral or economic violence.
