To enroll in this course, students must have previously completed undergraduate courses in Quantum Field Theory and General Relativity. These prerequisites ensure a solid foundation for understanding the material covered in these lectures.

Black hole perturbation theory: quasi-normal modes

Rotating black holes: superradiance 

Black hole evaporation

Black hole thermodynamics

The entropy of Hawking radiation

Obiettivi formativi

Upon completion of the course, students will acquire a comprehensive understanding of the fundamental properties of black holes, encompassing both classical and quantum aspects. They will acquire in-depth knowledge of the latest advancements and open problems in this field, preparing them to undertake research projects focused on the theory of black holes.
