University orientation

The first orientation courses at the Scuola Normale date back to 1966, when a pilot initiative was trialled in Erice (Trapani). This initiative became a structured and continuous programme from 1980 onwards, continuing to the present day.

Since then, the Scuola Normale has emphasized orientation activities, constantly updating them. Alongside the traditional residential courses, more recent initiatives have been introduced, including the "Alla Normale anche tu" ("You too at the Normale") series of meetings held in various Italian schools, the "Scienziate di domani" ("Tomorrow's women scientists") workshops designed to address the gender gap in STEM fields, specific tutoring activities for the Faculty of Humanities, and various workshops for in-depth study of specific scientific disciplines.
