The aims of the Scuola Normale include the protection of innovations with potential applications in the industrial field, the enhancement of the results of research and collaboration with companies, and support for its community in the creation of new spin-off companies and start-ups, in order to create an impact within society.
In order to reach these goals, the Normale offers support in the following fields:
Intellectual Property Protection
• The management of the registration, extension and maintenance of industrial property rights (patents, trademarks, etc.) generated by its research personnel
Enhancement of the results of research
• The commercial use of the results of research through the stipulation of licence agreements and options contracts
• Collaboration with companies and with public institutions for the developing of innovative products and services
• The dissemination to research groups of initiatives funded with internal or external funds aimed at the validation of the results of research
• Training and dissemination events on topics linked to Technology Transfer
Creation of spin off companies
• Support for enterprise development, through initiatives designed to increase skills and knowledge in the field of company management and innovation
• The identification of funding opportunities (private and investment funds)
• Opportunities to participate in initiatives for the commercial development of ideas and the creation of strategic collaborations
