Pasqualantonio Pingue

Physicist, he worked at the beginning of his research activity in the fields of advanced lithography and scanning probe microscopy. In 1999 he was hired by SNS on the scientific-technical staff and in 2008 he became a chief operating officer (COO) at NEST laboratory, the nanoscience center of SNS. Over the years, he has been involved in innovation activities, also becoming the technical-scientific manager of the NEST Competence Center in Nanotechnology (CCNEST), a center co-financed by the Regione Toscana and dedicated to technology transfer in the sector of nanotech. In 2021 he then assumed the role of Head of the Research and Innovation Area of the SNS, dealing with research management, technology transfer, research evaluation, and open science. In 2021 he also obtained a master's degree in Innovation & Technology Management at the Politecnico di Milano.
