Undergraduate and postgraduate students of the SNS can request contributions to carry out study and research activities at other institutions for certain periods of time, even when no programmes or agreements have been activated. To submit the request it is necessary to access the Ser.Se platform and fill in the appropriate form, taking care to enter all the requested information.
Prior approval by the lecturer of reference is required, to be stated in the relevant field of the form.
By "Lecturer of reference " we mean:
- The coordinator of the course, for PhD students of the 1st year;
- The supervisor of the doctoral thesis or the provisional supervisor, for doctoral students of the years following the 1st;
- An internal lecturer of the SNS, for students of the undergraduate course;
Requests are individually analysed by specific Commissions, one for each Faculty, which usually meet monthly and express their opinion regarding authorisation and contribution.
Should the student need to depart before the Commission meets, a request must be submitted stating the reasons for the urgency of the departure; it will be the responsibility of the competent offices to activate an urgent procedure, usually authorized in advance by the Dean of the academic structure pending the Commission's opinion regarding the amount of the requested contribution.
Upon return, the student must submit the supporting documentation relating to any expenses incurred, accompanied by a special form, to be filled out on the Ser.Se platform.
