Programma

The course will examine and critically assess the theoretical foundations of labour process analysis, around the themes of control, consent, resistance, as well as its more recent empirical applications, on issues such as the emotional labour process, the link to comparative political economy and global value chains, the new service economy, new technologies and algorithmic management.

Obiettivi formativi

The course will provide exposure to in-depth theoretical discussions around tenets of neo-marxist and post-modernist theories, as well as critical reflection on the empirical challenges of workplaces studies.
