Research opportunities and funding
The Scuola Normale Superiore actively promotes and supports its research community in attracting competitive funding, recognizing that successful project design is a fundamental driving force for developing excellent research.
The Scuola Normale Superiore provides its research community with the FIRST funding information service—a weekly newsletter dedicated to open calls for funding at the European, national, and regional levels, as well as projects, events, and other research opportunities. FIRST-SNS is customized based on the user's specific areas of interest, which are selected at the time of registration.
The Research and Technology Transfer Service co-ordinates these activities, providing strategic and administrative support to ensure alignment with the Normale's development goals and to maximize the likelihood of the success of a project.

Procedures for submitting a research proposal
The submission of a proposal in response to a competitive call is governed by Art. 6 of the Regulations for Agreements and Projects (Regolamento Convenzioni e Progetti).
