Before proceeding, you need to identify and contact an SNS lecturer of the relevant faculty (Humanities, Sciences or Political and Social Sciences) who has formally agreed to take on the role of tutor for the stay.
During the completion of the form, you will be asked to upload a valid identity document and to accept the regulations of the Scuola Normale (including those relating to safety for access to the laboratories or the research structures).
The stay does not involve scholarships or financial contributions on the part of the SNS; those taking part must use their own means of support.
The maximum duration of stays is one academic year.

Application procedure

Completion of the online dedicated form.
The form must be submitted at least 30 days prior to the established start date of the stay.
Upon the authorisation of the SNS Tutor, the instructions will be sent via e-mail for the completion of the registration on the Esse3 Portal for the administrative registration.

If you are from a non-Italian university, please consult the dedicated page at Incoming International students.
