Prerequisiti

The prerequisite is the attendance of and participation in Part 2 of the course.

This part, though open to BA and MA students, is particularly designed to make room for Ph.D students' seminar presentations.

Programma

The theme of a social imaginary acquired central stage in the 1970s thanks to such diverse figures as Arendt, Castoriadis, Ricoeur, Baczko and others. We will start from its premises in the utopian thought (e.g., Bloch) and in Freudian psychoanalysis and focus in particular on Castoriadis and Ricoeur.

Obiettivi formativi

The goal is to acquire the skills to actively and co-operatively participate in the seminar discussion as well as to give a clear, well-organized and stimulating presentation and to manage the ensuing discussion
