Prerequisites

No prerequisites are required, except for having attended the previous module (a requirement only for "ordinari" students).

Syllabus

The present module delves into the analysis of philosophical disagreement, focusing primarily on the involvement of the notions of truth and rationality. On the one hand, we will argue against the skeptic who interprets disagreement as evidence of the lack of progress in philosophy. On the other hand, we will try to draw from the persistence of disagreement a different moral, linked to evolutionary considerations, which concerns the entire philosophical enterprise.
