Internal Conflict and Political Communication: The Late Antiquity (PhD)
Prerequisiti
This course is intended for PhD students and is open to undergraduate students. Knowledge of Latin and ancient Greek is required.
Programma
The course will explore political communication in rome during key periods of internal tension, when power struggles demanded greater efforts in spreading messages. A range of sources and media will be considered, including literary texts, inscriptions, coins, monuments, and public works. three supplementary modules will be dedicated to specific categories of documents.
Obiettivi formativi
The course aims to support the consolidation of the methodological skills necessary for analyzing the sources discussed during the lessons and for understanding the historical issues under examination
