This EELISA Innovation Talk will look at some key technologies that originated from the discovery of the electron in 1897 and highlight the new opportunities for innovation. The discussion will use specific examples to illustrate the challenges of transforming knowledge acquired in an academic research environment into innovation and ultimately into a profitable business.
