The Fondo Italiano per la Scienza funds projects of high scientific value, conducted by researchers at different stages of their career (Starting, Consolidator Grant or Advanced Grant).

FIS projects are funded by the Ministero dell’Università e della Ricerca (MUR) for a maximum duration of 5 years.

At the SNS the following four FIS projects were funded in 2025:
