Giovanni Interdonato conducts research in the field of algebraic combinatorics, with a particular focus on symmetric functions, Macdonald polynomials, Theta operators, chromatic functions, and the combinatorics of Coxeter groups. He is currently a PhD student (perfezionando) in Mathematics under the supervision of Michele D’Adderio at the University of Pisa.

His academic background developed entirely in Pisa, where he completed his Bachelor’s degree under the supervision of Giovanni Gaiffi and, in 2023, his Master’s degree under the guidance of Michele D’Adderio. In parallel, from 2018 to 2024, he attended the Corso Ordinario in Mathematics at the Scuola Normale Superiore. Throughout his academic career, he has spent several research periods at various international and Italian institutions, as a visiting researcher hosted by Riccardo Biagioli at the Università di Bologna, by Christophe Hohlweg at the Université du Québec à Montréal, and by Angela Carnevale at the University of Galway.
