Graduated in Theoretical Physics from the Department of Physics at the University of Pisa. He has previously been an intern at Fermilab and a visiting student at Princeton University.
He is currently pursuing a Ph.D. in Quantum Computing and Technologies under the supervision of Prof. Vittorio Giovannetti, in collaboration with Planckian Srl. His research focuses on studying universal quantum computing schemes with global control, with a particular emphasis on quantum error correction. Roberto is also interested in quantum batteries and their connections with quantum computation.
During his Ph.D., Roberto was a Research Fellow at the Theoretical Division of Los Alamos National Laboratory.
Research areas: Quantum Computing, Quantum Information
