Classical electrodynamics I
Prerequisites
for chemistry, physics and maths second year students; prerequisites are the first year maths and physics courses
Programme
1. Electrostatics and magnetostatics
2. Mathematical methods for electrostatics
3. Maxwell’s equations
4. Electromagnetic waves
5. Simple radiating systems
6. Introduction to special relativity
7. Covariant formulation of electrodynamics
Educational aims
