Anders Svensson obtained a masters degree in Sociology (2020) from the University of Gothenburg. Besides Sociology, his academic exploration has also encompassed History of Ideas and Psychology. In his masters thesis he employed a mixed methods approach to analyze prognostic framing among participants in the 2019 global climate strikes. Anders has since 2022 been a PhD at SNS where he is also a member of COSMOS (Centre for Social Movement Studies).
Engaged both as a researcher and an activist in the environmental movement, his research interests is connected to strategic action in the nexus of structural determinants and the innovative and emancipatory powers of social movement agents. His PhD project explores the strategic process and causes for strategic outcomes within the Northern European climate movement.
