Micaela Esposto graduated in Italian Studies from the University of Pisa (2021) and attended the ‘corso ordinario’ in Literature and Modern Philology at the Scuola Normale Superiore. Since 2021, she has been a PhD student in Italian Studies and Modern Philology at the Scuola Normale, in co-tutorship with the Université de Lausanne, where she is also an assistante diplômée in the Italian Section.
 

She works on the history of the Italian language, with a focus on medieval women’s practical texts (on which her PhD project is focused) and dialect literature. She has prepared the critical and annotated edition of Ruzante’s Dialogo secondo, soon to be published. She contributes to the Vocabolario storico-etimologico del veneziano (VEV), for which she edited more than two hundred entries and a volume on the gastronomic lexicon that appeared in 2022.
