Syllabus

A series of Seminars devoted to forefront research, which will address various issues of current interest in Theoretical Physics: Standard Model and its extensions, effective field theories, Supersimmetry, Supergravity and String Theory, their applications to Particle Physics and Cosmology, higher spins. The offer will also include the Colloquia of the Class of Sciences, which are held on a monthly basis and are devoted to wide-ranging reviews of important topics in Biology, Chemistry, Mathematics and Physics.

The course will also include, in this Academic Year, three series of seminars, of 10 hours each:

- D. Fioravanti - Integrable systems

- K. Mkrtchyan - Hamiltonian Mechanics

 - F. Strocchi - Rottura di simmetria

Educational goals:

The course is meant to expose students to several frontier topics, including those actively pursued here, while also giving them the opportunity to meet specialists active on various aspects of Theoretical Physics. The course will also include introductory lectures devoted to three important topics: integrable systems, Hamiltonian mechanics and symmetry breaking.
