Syllabus

The course aims to show examples of how neural circuits can solve important problems regarding the coding and analysis of nerve signals based on their functional and anatomical organization. In the first part of the course the main methods of recording brain responses will be illustrated. We will then go on to show examples deriving mainly from the organization of circuits in stations of sensory systems, which highlight the relationship between morphology, molecular and synaptic organization and circuit function. Finally, examples of circuit plasticity will be shown by defining the rules of induction and consolidation of plasticity phenomena. A cycle of seminars will be dedicated to the basic functioning of neurons
