Florence and its Chronicles in the Middle Ages (Ordinary and PhD students)

The course is designed for ordinary and PhD students.
Programma
The aim of the course is to review the 13th-14th century Florentine chronicles, focusing in particular on the body, structure and tradition of the Cronica delle cose occorrenti ne' tempi suoi, as well as the Dino Compagni's mode of argumentation.
Obiettivi formativi
The aims of the course are to introduce students to historiographic reflection and refine a critical approach to sources.
