Laboratorio di Biologia 2
Prerequisiti
Open to undergraduate and graduate students.
Programma
The course consists of hands-on training in a research laboratory at the Scuola Normale Superiore or in a research facility affiliated with the Scuola through formal agreements, under the supervision of a faculty member or designated tutor. Students will be introduced to the main experimental approaches used in biological and biomedical research and will take part in laboratory activities under the supervision of a faculty member or tutor. The training aims to provide basic skills in experimental design, data collection and analysis, and critical interpretation of scientific results. At the end of the course, students will prepare a short written report describing the activities performed, the results obtained, and their scientific significance.
Obiettivi formativi
The course aims to consolidate and expand the practical skills acquired in Molecular Biology Laboratory I through direct experience in a research laboratory at the Scuola Normale Superiore. Students will participate in laboratory activities and become familiar with experimental techniques, instrumentation, and procedures commonly used in biological and biomedical research. Together with the training provided by Molecular Biology Laboratory I, this course is designed to prepare students for the experimental work required for their thesis project, enabling them to approach laboratory research with greater independence and confidence.
