Horizon Europe - ERC Plus Grants 2026
The new ERC Plus Grant funding scheme, introduced under Horizon Europe, is a strategic initiative designed to support pioneering, highly ambitious, and transformative research projects. The primary objective of this scheme is to fund high-risk, high-gain research with the potential to radically transform entire scientific fields, open up unprecedented lines of inquiry, or develop completely novel methodologies and tools. The scheme is specifically tailored for groundbreaking projects that, due to their nature and complexity, could not be realized through traditional ERC funding channels.
