The Master course entitled “Ancient Architecture-Ancient Cities” (at ITU History of Architecture MA program) will host a Blended Intensive Program (BIP) of the Erasmus+ program in the 2025/26 spring semester, together with partners of the EELISA Community “Archaeology and Architecture”. 

The ancient site of Ephesus in Ionia (Turkey) will be examined from the point of view of Archaeology and its history, archaeological politics, excavation history, conservation, its methods and changes, the presentation of ruins and museums, tourism and overtourism and sustainability. The course has five sessions online and one-week on-site and in-person in Ephesus, Selçuk, and Şirince, during the week of 27 April 2026 - 3 May 2026. The week consists of lectures for and by the students and site visits. They will work in international teams for the assignments, which address the questions raised during the course. Master students in History of Architecture, Archaeology and Conservation are welcome to apply.

Participants selected by SNS will receive a zero grant Erasmus+ position from project 2025-1-IT02-KA131-HED-000324631 and funding to cover mobility expenses from the EELISA (“European Engineering Learning Innovation and Science Alliance”) project funds.
