Abstract
I will give a survey of the renormalization picture for rotational dynamics which is emerging in one and several dimensions, and will discuss some consequences, such as the smoothness of Arnold tongues and the existence of rotation domains for multi-dimensional maps.

No previous knowledge will be assumed.
