Abstract
Neutrino-less double beta decay is a hypothetical nuclear process whose detection would prove a specific and peculiar property of neutrinos among elementary particles, and would confirm a theory proposed by Ettore Majorana.
In the lecture we will describe the basic scientific motivations of these researches, the main research techniques, the most recent results and the scientific potential of this activity.
