Giada Bonu Rosenkranz

Giada Bonu Rosenkranz is postdoctoral research fellow at the Scuola Normale Superiore. She received her Ph.D. in Political Science and Sociology at the Scuola Normale Superiore, and is part of the Research Centre on Social Movements (COSMOS). She participated in the Horizon Europe project FIERCE – Feminist Movements Revitalizing Democracy in Europe, which focused on feminist movements, anti-gender politics and democracy in Europe.
She is coordinator of the Cosmos group FIRE – Feminism, Intersectionality and Gender, a member of the research group Gender and Politics at the Scuola Normale Superiore, part of the scientific committee of the Gender and Politics standing group of SISP (Italian Association of Political Science), and part of the editorial board of the feminist studies journal DWF – donnawomanfemme. Together with Nicolò Bertuzzi and Jacopo Custodi, she is editor of the series "Il cantiere delle idee" for Meltemi.
Giada’s work has been published in several academic journals, including Mobilization, European Journal of Politics and Gender, and Social Politics. She recently edited the monograph “Safer Spaces, Feminist Movements and Emotions. Affect into Action”, Routledge, and she co-edited with Donatella della Porta the book: “Feminist Movements in Time and Space: a European Perspective”, Palgrave Macmillan.
She was recently awarded a grant from FIS (Italian Science Fund) for the project BRAVE – Building Resilience and Mobilising Against Gender-Based Violence. Feminist Democratic Innovations Amid Backsliding (sector: SH2).
Her research interests include feminist politics and democracy, gender equality policy, gender-based violence, democratic innovation, democratic backsliding and anti-gender politics.
