Romance and Italian Philology in the Digital Turn
Jacopo Tinti received a Master’s Degree in Textual Competences from the University for Foreigners of Siena (2023), presenting a thesis in Italian Philology about Michele della Vedova’s Canzoniere (tutor Giuseppe Marrani, cotutor Benedetta Aldinucci). During his course of study he attended the training course for editors of the TLIO (Treasury of the Italian Language of Origins) at OVI (Opera del Vocabolario Italiano) in Florence and he collaborated with the LEI (Lessico Etimologico Italiano) at the University of Saarbrücken (GER).
The subject of the Ph.D. thesis is the scholarly edition of Alessandro Sforza’s Canzoniere through the use of digital tools. His research interests concern digital philology, 15th-century Petrarchism, rewriting phenomena and the history of the Italian language. He is currently working on the transcription of the entire corpus through the study and use of eScriptorium.
