Lorenzo is a Research Fellow at the Faculty of Political and Social Sciences at the Scuola Normale Superiore and a member of the Centre on Social Movement Studies (COSMOS). His current research focuses on the politics of housing and anti-touristification in rentier capitalism. More broadly, his work engages with class, care, the commons, social movements, and degrowth.
He received his PhD cum laude from the Scuola Normale Superiore with a dissertation on the contested politics of care in urban commons. During his doctoral training, he held visiting positions at the Autonomous University of Barcelona within post-growth and political ecology research environments.
His work has been published in journals such as The Sociological Review and Globalizations. He is a board member of Research and Degrowth International and regularly contributes to public debates on socio-ecological justice.
