PRIN 2026
The PRIN 2026 call funds three-year projects (between €1M and €1.2M) across the three ERC macro-sectors (LS Life Sciences, PE Physical Sciences and Engineering, e SH Social Sciences and Humanities). Eligible beneficiaries include Italian universities and research institutions supervised by the MUR. The Principal Investigator (PI) must be a professor or researcher and must guarantee a minimum time commitment of 20% for the duration of the project. Please note that 15% of the national budget is reserved for PIs under 40. Projects must involve 4 to 6 research units from different institutions. Participation is prohibited for those applying to the PRIN Hybrid 2026 call. Eligible costs include personnel, equipment, and operating costs. Indirect costs (overheads) are calculated at a flat rate of 45% of personnel costs. The grant is paid as a single 100% advance payment.
