Philosophy

Since November 2023, I have been a Philosophy PhD fellow at SNS. I hold a BA in Philosophy at the University of Trento and a Research MA in History of Philosophy at Radboud University (NL). I have also worked as a research assistant at the University of Jyväskylä (FIN). My research lies at the crossroads of phenomenology, feminist philosophy, and social ontology.

Current Research:

My research project is titled Gender Exclusion: A Phenomenological Analysis of Implicit Bias and it investigates the link between implicit bias and gender discrimination and marginalisation. The project sets out to provide a phenomenological account of implicit bias for theorising experiences of gender exclusion. It will do so by applying and developing the conceptual results and methodologies provided by contemporary feminist, social, and critical phenomenology. The study will (hopefully) shed some light on the intentional background structures that motivate acts and processes of gender discrimination.

Besides but linked to my PhD project, I am currently working on phenomenological accounts of discrimination and sexual difference. Moreover, I am writing on social perception biases.

Research interests:

  • Critical and feminist phenomenology
  • Gender and sexuality
  • Discrimination
  • Group identity
