The Palazzo del Castelletto, located in the square with the same name, is one of the most recent buildings purchased by the Scuola Normale. It had been home to the historic Pisan publishers Nistri-Lischi; it was in very bad condition and was restored based on a project by the engineer Giuseppe Bentivoglio.
Since January 2004 it has been used as administrative offices of the Scuola Normale: the heads of administration are there, together with the Student Services Division, Human Resources, Finance and the General Services Offices. There is also the Data Processing and Computation Centre for the Scuola Normale and a large hall for meetings and teaching which can seat 170; this hall is named after the illustrious mathematician and former Scuola Normale director, Ulisse Dini. The two associations for alumni and supporters, the Associazione Normalisti and the Associazione degli Amici della Scuola Normale Superiore, have their offices there as well.
