The Gezi Protests escalated in June 2013 in Turkey and became one of the largest protest waves with pro-democratic and antigovernmental claims in the history of the country. Since their first day, the protests had a significant impact on the social, political and cultural environment of Turkey and they are still considered as a benchmark for the democratic movements and the social movement studies in their 10th anniversary. In this event, we would like to revisit the Gezi Protests after ten years and explore their transformative influence in the new political context that emerged in the aftermath of the Gezi Protests.
Entrance will be allowed up to the maximum capacity of the room.
