The Syrian civil war has brought a massive influx of refugees to Turkey, resulting in the emergence of new local actors in the field. The dynamic atmosphere of Turkey’s civil society has paved the way for Local Syrian-led NGOs (LSNGOs) seeking to enter the sector. This seminar provides a fine-grained analysis of the dynamic networks of LSNGOs through funding-based coordination across successive phases. It unpacks the evolution of inter-organizational funding-based coordination networks and their relational patterns as they encounter critical junctures. Drawing on interviews with LSNGO representatives, the presentation examines how prevailing funding organizations for LSNGOs change over time in a specific locality. The findings indicate that the actors and their links vary over time. This study sheds light on the evolution of funding coordination networks for LSNGOs, aiming to enhance funding strategies, improve the resilience of coordination networks, and bolster funding opportunities for LSNGOs, contributing to more effective crisis response.
