Studying high redshift galaxies with the James Webb Space Telescope

Abstract
The colloquium will provide a brief overview of origin and status of the James Webb Space Telescope project. It will then move to describe the results they obtained on the properties of high redshift galaxies focusing in particular on the chemical abundances measured in these objects and what they tell us about their evolution. It will conclude with some considerations on the future directions of the search of primordial galaxies.
