Research Design in Political Economy

The course is meant to support students in designing and completing the PhD manuscript. The course addresses the identification of the key research questions of the PhD project, their theoretical framing, the case selection, the choice of the empirical methods of investigation, the challenges of field work, the analysis and presentation of the results.

The course also allows to improve reciprocal knowledge and potential networking. By involving participants at different stages of their academic experiences, the seminar offers the opportunity to develop the skills of PhD students in discussing and constructively contributing to each other research, both during the formal sessions and in successive informal meetings
