The post-deionization Universe

Abstract:

I will review the structure formation processes in the post-reionization Universe (i.e. z=0-6) focussing on some key questions that will address: the nature of dark matter, geometry and dynamics of the Universe, neutrino masses.
I will compare hydrodynamical simulations of structure formation, both in the standard (Lambda Cold Dark Matter) scenario and in other models enriched with new physics, with spectroscopic data sets (quasar spectra) and intensity mapping measurements. The key tracer of the astrophysical and fundamental physical processes will be atomic Hydrogen, the most abundant element in the Universe, and will allow to reach a comprehensive quantitative view in an regime which is still poorly probed by other observables.
